Living Well Summit 2025

Interweaving two existing events: the Knowledge Intersections Symposium, co-hosted by DKRI, Batchelor & CDU, and CAAHSN’s Annual Showcase.

The 2025 Liv­ing Well Sum­mit will inter­weave two exist­ing events: the Knowl­edge Inter­sec­tions Sym­po­sium, co-host­ed by Desert Knowl­edge Research Insti­tute (DKRI), Batch­e­lor Insti­tute of Indige­nous Ter­tiary Edu­ca­tion (Batch­e­lor) and Charles Dar­win Uni­ver­si­ty (CDU), and the Cen­tral Aus­tralia Aca­d­e­m­ic Health Sci­ence Network’s (CAAH­SN) Annu­al Showcase. 

Liv­ing Well is about learn­ing to thrive as peo­ple and com­mu­ni­ties in cen­tral Aus­tralia “…a holis­tic con­cept that includes phys­i­cal, social, emo­tion­al, cul­tur­al, spir­i­tu­al and eco­log­i­cal well­be­ing, for both the indi­vid­ual and the community.”

THE EVENT WILL BE HELD FROM 9 TO 11 SEP­TEM­BER 2025.

The key objec­tive of the Sum­mit is to high­light and pro­mote research and evi­dence-based prac­tice that is lead­ing to improved health, well­be­ing and liv­ing out­comes for Abo­rig­i­nal peo­ple in tri-state Cen­tral Aus­tralia and the Bark­ly regions and to point towards oppor­tu­ni­ties to fur­ther improve out­comes through changes in pol­i­cy, prac­tice and funding.
