Remote Focus Initiative

The Remote Focus Initiative is a strategic project funded by the Northern Territory Government’s Department of Housing. Its goal is simple but ambitious: improve outcomes for remote communities by strengthening connections between stakeholders, and fostering better coordination between research, government, and on-the-ground practitioners.

By working across housing, water, renewable energy, and workforce development, Remote Focus aims to make existing work more integrated, informed, and effective – supporting solutions that are both impactful and sustainable.

Rather than directly advocating for policy changes, Remote Focus creates the conditions for better decision-making and stronger future advocacy by bringing together knowledge, experience, and local priorities.
