Company Directors learn from desert innovators
Alice Springs celebrated by Australian Institute of Company Directors magazine.

Company Director Magazine, the member magazine of the prestigious Australian Institute of Company Directors, has celebrated the unique knowledge and innovation of the desert in a new article called ‘Learning from the Desert’. Alice Springs is described as a place where “ancient and modern merge with a focus on deepening our knowledge of Australia’s desert heartland, building on Indigenous strengths and developing renewable technologies.” DKA and the DKA Solar Centre, Purple House, Parrtjima – A Festival in Light are profiled in the article which celebrates desert innovators and changemakers.
Guided by our FY19 – FY21 strategy, DKA is focused on desert leadership, digital innovation, desert research, renewable energy, and developing the Desert Knowledge Precinct. DKA CEO Lauren Ganley is enthusiastic about seizing collaborative opportunities. “There’s so much resilience and knowledge in the desert and remote Australia, and we can mobilise those strengths to support the socioeconomic development of Central Australia,” she says.
